Signature Design

SINCE LAUNCHING THE FIRST BEN SHERMAN SHIRT IN 1963, THIS BRITISH DESIGNER'S VIBRANT APPAREL HAS BECOME SYNONYMOUS WITH YOUTH, STYLE AND REBELLION.

Influenced by the classic American Ivy League shirt, Ben’s design vision added the back hook, the button on the back of the collar, but most importantly his feel and passion for fabric, pattern and color created a unique garment.

Color was something that particularly intrigued Ben. Breaking away from tradition, he opted for Oxford fabrics in pale shades of pink, yellow, and blue. He became known for his rebellious taste.

Most importantly, Ben wanted the best quality fabrics. The Ben Sherman shirt became an icon.

CULTURAL ICON

Ben Sherman remained at the helm of the Ben Sherman shirt brand until the mid 70’s. His rebellious spirit became as celebrated in the fashion world as his iconic shirts.

Today, the Ben Sherman line continues to offer a full array of men's apparel and accessories. Few brands can boast being adopted by almost every youth culture or style movement of the last five decades.
